I can't think of
anything more
boring
than living by
the expectations
of other people
let the hens gossip
and cluck and clack
whenever you walk
into the room with your
mismatched socks and
stardust falling out
of your wild pink hair
because in a little while
when you get up to leave
to continue on with
your adventure
every single one of them
will secretly wish that
they were going with you
